If I Stay
So I have finished another book this week, and I just got it yesterday from my local library. They finally got some new books in. This one is If I Stay by Gayle Forman.
About and Thoughts on Book:
In the blink of an eye everything changes. Seventeen-year-old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall what happened afterward, watching her own damaged body being taken from the wreck. Little by little she struggles to put together the pieces- to figure out what she has lost, what she has left, and the very difficult choice she must make.
From B&N
I have been wanting to read this book since I read the synopsis while at Barnes and Noble. I didn't get it then. It had just came out, and I didn't want to spend all that money on a hardcover book when I'll only read it once. I didn't think I'd have to wait months to finally get to read it. It was worth the wait. I liked how cool Mia's parents are and that they love rock music. I liked how the author would add flash backs all through out the book. I understood Mia's sense of humor because I tend to be the same way. This is a sad book, and why else wouldn't it be. She did lose her parents and brother. But there are moments thrown in that are funny and help with the flow of the book. Once again this was a book I couldn't put down. I wanted to know what choice she would make, if she would actually choose to stay. It's one the best books I've read this year. It's a story that will stay with you.
