I finished another book off my list, which by the way seems to just keep growing instead of getting smaller. That's my fault. I keep finding books I want, and feel I need to read. Okay the book I just finished is part of the House of Night Series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast. I just finished the fourth one called Untamed. I finished the others three weeks ago, but it took forever to get this one. The library never seemed to have it when I wanted to read it. My twin sister is actually the one who got it. She bought it online from a used book seller, ironically it came from the San Diego County Library. I was mean to my sister, I did what she did to me. I tried reading the book before she did. My plan was not successful. She wouldn't even let me touch it till she finished it. She seemed to take her sweet time. I know my sister, if she's really into a book she can finish it in a day, just like me. She should of been like that with this one. It was really good.

Anyways, Thoughts on the Book:
The series is about this girl, Zoey Redbird, who is Marked and has to go live at this finishing school for fledgling vampyres. Everyone in this series knows about vampyres. Zoey is one of the most powerful fledglings. She is the only one ever to have her Mark, of crescent moon, to have it filled in before she goes through the Change. She also has additional tattoos that no one else, fledgling or adult vampyre, has. She's also has the affinity to control all five elements on earth, the only one to be able to do that too. In Untamed, Zoey is trying to get her friends back, and stop an evil from taking over. There's not much I can give away if you haven't already read the first ones.

Other News:
My blue hair turned out the way I wanted it too. My mom and sister where surprised when they got home that day, but my mother wasn't mad. Why would she be? She's let me dye my hair before, but I've always asked her before doing it. This time I didn't ask. I don't see the point in asking, it's my hair. I should be able to dye it whatever color I want. So enough of this. I'm done writing for now.

I've decided to dye my hair blue. No not all of it. It already had blue streaks in it, but now that's faded, and I'm left with blond. I am not the type of person who likes having blond hair. I like having different kinds of color in my hair. The kind your not naturally born with. I've had dyed some of my hair purple, once I dyed the underneath red, and blue streaks has been the most recent. So as of this moment, I am sitting here typing with blue dye in my hair, waiting for the timer to go off and wash it. My cat, Twitch, one of five, has tried to dye her own hair blue. My mother would not be very happy with that. Good thing I stopped her.
On to other subjects. Well, I finally fell asleep at like eight or nine in the morning, not really for sure. I woke up a while ago. I barely got any sleep. I've been working on econ. preparing for a test and taking some notes. I have not gotten any more books that are on my list. At least I finished some of them. It's not a goal I have to finish. It's not a life or death situation. But I love to read, and the books on the list are books I've been wanting to read for a while now.
Well, the timer just went off, so I'll stop my rambling about blue hair, sleep, and books. I guess. Whatever.

Can't Sleep

For over a year or two now, I have had a weird sleep pattern. or whatever you call it. I switch from being able to sleep about eight hours a night, but not truely eight hours, to not sleeping at night at all. As of right now, I am on the cycle of not sleeping at all. My mother thinks nothing is wrong. She thought that when I had a straight pen in my foot in the third grade. She thought that when I had gallbladder disease in the eighth grade. I finally got it removed after a few months of complaint. She also thought that when I had problems with my appendix last year. Obviously, she does not have the best track record. I make it sound like my mother doesn't care, but she actually does. She's just not the type to think that every time I say something hurts that I need to be rushed to the hospital right then that moment. Back to not being able to sleep. I don't know the exact reason, and I have learned not to complain to my mother all the time. I'm not an hypochondriac. I don't say something is wrong with me every second of the day. Only every minute. Not really. I just wish I could sleep, and have a normal sleep schedule. Sometimes my body has to force me to sleep, even though my mind doesn't feel like sleeping. Does that make sense??? It's now four o'clock in the morning. Good thing I'm being home schooled now, because I would be falling asleep in class. I did that during my sophomore year, the year this all started, a lot. So I've been rambling long enough.
This blog was originally about this goal of mine, but I've decided to change that. I'll still type about the books I've finished, but it will also be about random things in my life. There tend to be a lot. I guess. Whatever.

I finished Impulse by Ellen Hopkins. I have already read Burned and Identical by her too. Both excellent books. I really like this author's style of writing.

About and Thoughts on book:
Three teens who have attempted suicide meet in a psychiatric hospital, battle their demons, and begin to heal.
The handsome son of wealthy parents, Connor has everything anyone could want—except his family’s love and affection. Jailed for years after killing his mother’s child-molesting boyfriend, Tony is confused about his sexuality. Manic-depressive Vanessa cuts herself. All three stories intertwine in a brutally honest story about pain and resilience.
 From B&N

I consider it one of my favorites, like the other ones of Ellen Hopkins I have read. It's about these three teenagers who don't have anything in common except for being in the same psychiatric hospital. They also have all tried to kill themselves. The ending is sad, and not what I expected. It's a book that really makes you think and worth reading.

Whatever I haven't I listed on other posts.

The One my Twin Stole - A Kiss in Time

The next book checked off is A Kiss in Time by Alex Finn.

About and Thoughts on Book:
I was told to beware the accursed spindle, but it was so enchanting, so hypnotic . . .
I was looking for a little adventure the day I ditched my tour group. But finding a comatose town, with a hot-looking chick asleep in it, was so not what I had in mind.
I awakened in the same place but in another time – to a stranger’s soft kiss.
I couldn’t help kissing her. Sometimes you just have to kiss someone. I didn’t know this would happen.
Now I am in dire trouble because my father, the king, says I have brought ruin upon our country. I have no choice but to run away with this commoner!
Now I’m stuck with a bratty princess and a trunk full of her jewels . . . The good news: My parents will freak!
From B&N

It's a modern retelling of Sleeping Beauty. I have always loved that story, and found this book to be really good. It was funny in spots, and I found that I started to like it better than the original story. I understand why my sister felt she couldn't wait till I finished the book.

Whatever I haven't finished basically.

The Lovely Bones

Another book checked off the list. I just finished The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold yesterday. I had been reading A Kiss in Time, but my fabulous twin sister started reading it as soon as I put it down for a second. What can I do? Hit her over the head with it. No, I don't think so. We do this to each other all the time. It's pointless to argue about it because we're going to take it anyways. We usually do wait till the other has at least finished the book, but not this time. She's finished reading it now, so not a big deal anymore.

Ok now thoughts on The Lovely Bones:
I loved this book. It was even better than I thought it would be. It's about a fourteen-year-old named Susie, who is murdered. During the whole book she is in Heaven looking down on every one. Her father is determined to find her killer. He finds out who it is, but no one will believe him. At some points, I just wanted to scream because i didn't understand why the police wouldn't listen to him. The end was good, and now I can't wait to see the movie. I hope it lives up to the book.

A Kiss in Time
and the ones I listed on other posts.(This time I'll make sure my twin doesn't take one of them.)

Caught in the Act

This one was not on the list on my last post, but it is on my other extremely long list. The book I finished is Caught in the Act by Peter Moore.

It's about a boy who meets this girl, who seems pretty strange to everyone else. He just seems to think she's intriguing. Later on he finds out that she has problems, problems that cause trouble for him. The ending was not what I expected. It was good, and an easy read. I would recommend it to anyone who asks.

Next on the list:
the same as before, except I've added some more like:

The Lovely Bones

First Book - Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac

The first book I've completed off my ever growing list, is Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin.
If Naomi had picked tails, she would have won the coin toss. She wouldn't have had to go back for the yearbook camera, and she wouldn't have hit her head on the steps. She wouldn't have woken up in an ambulance with amnesia. She certainly would have remembered her boyfriend, Ace. She might even have remembered why she fell in love with him in the first place. She would understand why her best friend, Will, keeps calling her Chief. She'd get all his inside jokes, and maybe he wouldn't be so frustrated with her for forgetting things she can't possibly remember. She'd know about her mom's new family. She'd know about her dad's fiancée. She wouldn't have to spend her junior year relearning all the French she supposedly knew already. She never would have met James, the boy with the questionable past and the even fuzzier future, who tells her he once wanted to kiss her. She wouldn't have wanted to kiss him back. But Naomi picked heads

Thoughts on book:
I found that I couldn't put it down. It's a good read and I recommend it. The plot was good and not predictable. I found I could relate to the main character, even though I'm not an amnesiac.

Next book on the list I'm reading now:
A Kiss in time
Catch 22
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

I tend to read more than one at a time. If I get bored with one, I can always go on to the next and return to it later.

New to this!

Hi! I'm totally new to the blogging world, but I find blogs really interesting. I'm writing my blog about this goal I have for before I go to college next fall. My goal is to read all these books I have written down. There are over a hundred books on it. I'm an avid reader, so I don't plan on it being too difficult. I tend to read just so I can get away from things. I can sometimes relate to some of the characters in the books I read. Good news, I've already finished one today. I only started it yesterday, so I'm making some progress. I guess. I hope I keep this up. I tend to not continue with some things.
