Just finished reading this one yesterday. I could not get on my computer for a few days because it had to be worked on. Which sucked because I have to use my computer a lot, and the one my mom uses at her office blocks like everything, including my email. Also for some reason my c key keeps sticking, so I have to press it a bunch of times to get it to work. That's just wonderful, isn't it? lol. Well this one is called Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson.

So Laurie Halse Anderson is one my favorite authors. Every book I read of hers is amazing and so much to it that makes you not want to put it down. The books I have read of hers so far is Speak, Twisted, and Catalyst. All of them truely amazing. Wintergirls did not let me down. It lived up to the others. I have been waiting to read this book since it came out a couple months ago. Amazingly my library got it faster than I thought they would. It takes you to the world of an anorexic girl, and tells you why she does it. It tells you why she wants to be so skinny, why she doesn't want to get better, because to her being 85 lbs is better. I've seen Lifetime movies on this subject before, but none of them are as good as this book. In fact, they'll probably make a movie about this book like they did with Speak. That's just my opinion, who knows if they'll actually do it. I got so frustrated with Lia throughout the book, because I wanted her to see that she was killing herself. Even after her friend died, she couldn't see what this was doing to her. I just wanted to scream sometimes. There is hope at the end that she will get better, which made me want to scream with joy, that finally she got it. This book is a must read. It's another great book I've read so far this year.
