Cut

So the past couple of days I have been reading like crazy, finishing 3 books in 3 days, and I'm about to finish another. So the book I just finished earlier today is Cut by Patricia McCormick.

About and Thoughts on Book:
Fifteen-year-old Callie isn't speaking to anybody, not even to her therapist at Sea Pines, the "residential treatment facility" where her parents and doctor sent her after discovering that she cuts herself. As her story unfolds, Callie reluctantly becomes involved with the other "guests" at Sea Pines -- finding her voice and confronting the trauma that triggered her behavior.
From B&N

So you can basically tell what this book is about from the title. I think it gets straight to the point. I personally can relate to how the character feels that she can't speak that the words just can't even come out of her mouth. She has so much to ask that she wants to say, but she just can't get it out. This book isn't that long, only a 150 pages at most, but a good 150 pages. I was drawn in like with so many other books, but this isn't fantasy or paranormal. The fact that the character let you in on how much she was feeling, was what got me to read it. It's worth reading.

I read Willow the other day, by Julia Hoban, which is also about a cutter, and it was so interesting ... if you enjoyed Cut, you might like Willow.
