Fallen

So I've been wanting to read this book, Fallen by Lauren Kate, for a while now, and I have finally read it!

About and Thoughts on Book:
There's something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.

Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price's attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He's the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.
Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce--and goes out of his way to make that very clear--she can't let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.

So I actually read this a while back, but didn't have the chance to review it. I've been extremely busy but that's no excuse for me not trying to get a review done about this book.

Anyways on to the book:
Luce is in trouble. A boy dies and her boarding school blames her. This is the reason why she is sent to Sword and Cross. Everyone there has their own reasons for being sent there, but once Luce sees Daniel, he's the only one she really wants to know about. I felt that Daniel was a total jerk to Luce every time he saw her. Except sometimes he'd forget that he was suppose to be mean to her and be the guy he really wished he could be around her. He has his reasons for being this way, it may just save Luce's life. Of all the characters, I did like the Daniel the best even with the way he acted.
It's always intriguing to read a book about a forbidden love. You know it's not suppose to work out, yet you keep hoping that it does anyways. It's true for this book as well. You want Luce to fall for Daniel even though Cam seems like someone any girl would love to have. He's the bad boy and that's saying something when it's based at a school where everyone there could possibly be considered a criminal. He entices you and makes you want to be around him. The parts that included Cam or Daniel were the parts I couldn't wait to get to read. Yet this book couldn't of been as good as it is without the other friends that Luce makes at Swords & Cross. Those being Penn and Arriane. Arriane befriends Luce on the first day, but my suspicions had me thinking she was bad news. She seemed to just want to get in trouble but she also seemed to be there for Luce. Penn is her own sort of person. She's always wearing multiple layers of clothing, even with the heat of being in Savannah, GA. She also knows her way around the school since she's been there her whole life, not because she got in trouble but because her dad use to be the ground's keeper. Just her knowing everything there is to know about Swords & Cross comes in handy for Luce. It doesn't hurt that Penn is one awesome friend.

Even with all this, Daniel is still the main person Luce can't get enough of, neither could I. This story keeps you engrossed in it not allowing you put it down. What about fallen angels could ever be boring?

Sorry it took me a while to post this. It has nothing to do with me not liking it as you can tell from my review. So go read a book about a forbidden love. You'd wished you'd had one of your own.
