Book Blogger Hop(19)

So I haven't done this in quite some time, so I thought I'd give it a go again, and try to find some more awesome book blogs. There have been some changes to the Hop since I last participated, but if you want to participate as well just go to Crazy-For-Books(this is a direct link to the post), read her instructions on there and get to hopping!

My answer to this Hop's question:

What’s the ONE GENRE that you wish you could get into, but just can’t?
This is a tough one for me. I tend to read a lot of genres. I've recently gotten into the habit of going outside my normal book of choice, YA paranormal romance, and I've started reading more edgy, might bring you to tears, more relatable YA books. I guess my answer would have to be more adult fiction or the classics, more traditional literature. I've tried many times to read Jane Eyre, but have yet to accomplish reading all of it. I want to read Dracula, but have yet been able to. I somehow always loved the books that I was assigned to read in school, but outside of school they weren't usually on my "to be read" list. I'm hoping one day I can actually get back into reading those books when they aren't required of me to read for class.

So what's that one genre you just can't seem to get into?

Now go find some awesome book blogs!

Interesting choice. I love a lot of the classics so my answer for non-fiction (namely, autobiographies or memoirs)

I can understand why you wouldn't want to read it if you are having to read so much of it for class. It's good to get a break from things. I love classics but don't read as much as I would like either. Hope you get to go back to Jane Eyre and Dracula. Loved those books.

*Gasp* You haven't read JANE EYRE all the way through? I LOVE that book. But if it doesn't appeal to you, you might as well move on and stop torturing yourself, right?

Glad to have found you via the Hop!

Stopping by through the blog hop and saying hi!

I have to agree with your choice on the classics though. As much as they hold a place in literary history, some are just difficult to get through for one reason or another.
